Inside The Wellness Show Vancouver (Part 2)

Last month I shared with you a few products that I discovered and tried at the Wellness Show Vancouver. After a few weeks of product testing, I would like to share with you the second instalment featuring beauty products, nutritious food and health services.

Rise Kombucha

You might have heard of kombucha as it's all the rage now a days. When I was first introduced to kombucha a few years back, I cringed at the smell of it, but once I tried it, I was hooked. It's definitely an acquired taste at first, but once you develop your palette and realize the health benefits of kombucha, it will soon become part of your health regimen.

My first experience with kombucha was with Rise, who happened to be at the Wellness Show. It was bubbly, lightly sweetened and packed with flavour. I was hooked. My ultimate favourites are Ginger, Mint & Chlorophyll and Lemongrass.

Benefits of kombucha

  • Helps detoxify the liver and aids with digestion
  • Powerful antioxidants from the teas and herbs
  • Boost the immune system and neutralize toxins
  • Awesome energy sources

Carina Organics Moisturizing Skin Cream

Carina Organics

An unscented daily moisturizing and hydrating skin cream formulated with natural and certified organic plant, vegetable, flower and tree extracts. Replenishes essential oils and nutrients to dry skin within minutes.

I find that I am sensitive to fragrance, so when I received this unscented moisturizing skin cream in my gift bag at the Wellness Show, I was excited to give it a try. I usually opted for coconut oil as a moisturizer because I struggled to find a good moisturizers that didn't leave my skin dry within an hour. But after a few weeks of product testing, looks like I will be keeping my coconut oil for cooking and baking purposes only.
