Meaningful Eats + Fruity Date Balls Recipe
Before I share with you my Fruity Date Balls Recipe, I wanted to start with our meaningful conversation of the week. These past few days have been filled with uncertainty, doubt and fear. Doubting my skills and ability to do a certain task, uncertain of what the future holds and scared to embrace change, wins and the unknown. I'm sure we all feel this way at some point and I truly believe we have to work through our insecurities and fear to be able to embrace the good. It's a time to challenge our limits, get out of our comfort zone, let go of things we cannot control and focus on our growth and dreams.
I stumbled upon this question, What do you spend too much time worrying about?, which I thought would be fitting for this week considering the emotions I'm going through. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. What is eating away at your time, keeping you up at night, the one thing that you cannot change or have control over but still worry yourself sick over? I find myself constantly worrying about not having enough time and money.
I truly believe we can make more time for things we truly enjoy. So why am I always feeling rushed and trying to keep up with time? I've realized it's time for me to reevaluate my life and make some changes. I need to figure out what I'm spending the most time on (paralyzed by my doubts and procrastinating out of fear) and take the appropriate actions to change my habits. If I don't make changes in my life, I shouldn't expect my issues to resolve themselves. Same goes for money. I need to evaluate where my income is coming from, what wealth really means to me (more than the number in my bank account), where I want to be and figure out how to get there.
I have a sense that worrying about time and money also affects our ability to perform, build relationships and take care of ourselves. We may be using "not having enough time or money" as an excuse or reason to not starting our dream business, not spending time with friends because going out is going to cost us, and not taking good care of ourselves. But it doesn't have to be this way. Starting a business requires little to no money, you just need to make use of your resources. Hanging out with your friends doesn't have to cost a dime. Check out a free movie outdoors, hang out on your patio or take a walk in the park. As for taking care of yourselves, food does cost money, but you can make smart food choices that don't cost an arm and a leg. Buy fresh local fruits and vegetables, and cut out junk food.

Fruity Date Balls Recipe
- 1 cup dates, soaked for 20 minutes and drained
- 1/2 cup mixed nuts
- Rainbow Water for dusting
- Place dates and mixed nuts in food processor. Pulse until combined and there are no more chunks of dates.
- Roll mixture to 1-1/2 inch balls and dust with Rainbow Water powder.
