Avocado Smoothie + Meaningful Eats

There are two things I want to share with you: my creamy avocado smoothie recipe and a new series I'm implementing on the blog, Meaningful Eats. Food is what fuels us. Food is what keeps us going, keeps us feeling alive and gives us the energy we need to achieve the life we desire. But food is just one piece of the health puzzle. Most of us are living on autopilot - waking up, going to work, working out, eating, binge watching Netflix until bedtime, falling asleep with our phones, and doing it all over again. That is not the life of a thriving individual. Life is full of opportunities with so much to discover. We all have goals we want to achieve: write a book, travel the world, start a business, raise a family or go back to school. Whatever it might be, you have the strength and determination to make it happen as long as you fuel your life with good food, good company and meaningful conversations.

When I first started this blog, I called it the The Authentic Voice. It was my way to reflect on thought provoking questions, push myself out of my comfort zone and challenge myself to live a more meaningful, more fulfilling and deeper life. During my reflection, I realized I wanted to share my passion for nutrition and help people implement healthy habits, make delicious meals and live a life they desire.

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup of frozen mango (you can use 1/2 banana instead)
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 1-2 cups of water (depends how thick you want it)

Place all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Enjoy and discuss your recent proud moments.


My recent proud moment is having an article published on MarthaStewart.com and HealthBloggersCommunity.com. When it comes to writing, I am my worst writing critic. I always doubt my writing abilities and the negative voice inside me keeps fuelling my doubts and fears. I'm sure we've all been there, faced with a huge opportunity and that little negative voice inside us whispering "you can't". But indeed you can. I went outside my comfort zone, challenged the voice inside me and made it on top. What are your proud moments?
