For as long as I remember, I was never a fan of coconut. Whenever my mom made her famous coconut dessert, I cringed with every bite. But as you grow up, your palette matures and you start to enjoy flavours you used to dislike. And coconut was one of them. Last year, I took my very first trip to Cuba and drank coconut water straight from the coconut. It was unlike anything I've ever tasted. It was fresh and didn't really taste like the coconut I've had here in Canada. I guess the more authentic, unprocessed and real the food is, the better tasting it is. Since that trip, I was hooked on coconut water and I've been testing various brands. This past weekend, I was volunteering at the Delicious Food Show and Jax Coconuts was an exhibitor. If you signed up for their newsletter, you got a free case of Jax Coconut Kids juice boxes. How cute are these boxes (picture below)? I don't remember the last time I drank from a juice box, must have been back in elementary school (distant memories!). Anyway, I sampled the product and you can tell it was pure coconut water, no added sugars, just a high quality product (with beautiful packaging - I'm a sucker for it!). It was delicious and 100% natural! I would definitely recommend this product if you are stumped in deciding which brand to get!
